Every superhero game makes you grind for a suit you never get to keep. Log off, and it all belongs to the studio. In WGP your hero, your powers and every villain you catch live on NEAR, so what you earn is yours: trade it, lend it to a friend, or retire it a legend.

The cast

Heroes, villains and one very loud editor.

Every character is an original parody. Team up with them, collect them, or web them to a lamppost.

  • The Node

  • Aunt Mainnet

    Ally

Never goes down. Bakes on weekends.

Eight arms, eight chains, one very bad bridge.

  • Sandwich Man

Gets in front of your trade. And right behind it.

There are thousands of him. Every one of them is him.

Everything a hero needs

Swing, fight, level up. Keep everything.

Swing

The whole city, one swing at a time.

Every night the city posts a patrol: villains to stop, neighbors to help and a route between them. Swing it in one go, or pick the stops you like.

  • Five districts, each with its own villain
  • Patrols short enough for a coffee break
  • Chain swings into combos for bonus XP
  • Errands for the neighbors count too
How it works

Get bitten, patrol, then level up.

From sign-in to your first villain takes about a minute. Your hero, its powers and its loot live on NEAR, so they’re yours, not the game’s.

  1. Step 1

    Get bitten

Sign in with Google or a NEAR wallet. A radioactive validator bites you, and your hero is minted with a name, a suit and three starting powers.

No seed phrase · no gas prompts

  2. Step 2

    Patrol the city

Swing between districts, stop the villain of the night and help the neighbors on the way. Catch a villain and their gear is yours.

    A new patrol every night

  3. Step 3

    Level up, or trade it

Powers level up the more you use them. Keep what you catch, trade it with other players, or lend your hero to a friend for the night.

    Everything you earn is yours

Loot drops straight into your inventory. Web fluid refills overnight; responsibility, sadly, does not.

The Daily Rug

Today’s front page: hero or menace?

J. Jonah Bearson runs the city’s least trusted newspaper. Every edition is written from what players did the night before, so your best patrol might be tomorrow’s scandal.

  • The Daily RugPage 1

    Web-head strikes again

Masked validator ties Gas Goblin to a lamppost. Fees fall 90%; editor unimpressed.

  • The Daily RugPage 2

    Who is Sandwich Man?

Readers report trades eaten from both sides. Police baffled, bread consulted.

  • The Daily RugPage 6

    Aunt Mainnet: still up

Local aunt marks 1,000 days without downtime, credits early nights and a good loaf.

  • The Daily RugOpinion

    Bears were right

Editor reminds everyone he called it, again, about something, probably.
